Disabling googlechrome auto update

Who doesn't know Google Chrome, a web browser that has very quickly gained popularity because of its speed, minimal design, nice interface, and also the development of the browser is taking place at rapid speed. There is a new version of Chrome that is launched every few weeks.

Most of us are not know when our google chrome gets updating with is silent updater. For a minimal capacity computer this can consume memory as Google chrome updater stays in the memory silently. Another trouble also for those which have slow dial-up connections or have limited data plans. Here are some tricks to disable the automatic updates of google chrome but you will be still able to update it manually whenever you want it.

The following steps below to Disable Automatic Update of Google Chrome

For Windows 7 and Windows Vista
1. Click on Start button, type msconfig.exe and press Enter Key
2. Go to Start up tab and uncheck the box Google Update

for Window Xp Users
1. Click on Start button and go to Run
2. Type msconfig.exe and press Enter Key
3. Go to Startup tab and uncheck the box Google Update

We have stopped google updater from launching at the start up and we have to stop the automatic Execution of the updater

Follow the Trick below to Stop Automatic Execution of Google Updater

for Windows 7 and Windows Vista Users
1. Click the Start button, type Task Scheduler and press Enter Key
2. Now go to Task Scheduler Library
3. You will see two GoogleUpdateTaskUser process. Delete both of them.

For Windows XP Users
1. Open Control Panel
2. Go into Scheduled Tasks
3. If a task called "googleUpdateTaskUser" exist, than delete it

All of this should be used only if we have slow internet connection and Limited data plans because google silent updater will keep your browser updated and secure.
